Step 1: Log in to WordPress

Go to yoursite.com.au/wp-admin and log in with your username and password.

Step 2: Go to menus in customize section and delete existing menu which is available by default with the theme.

Deleting Default menus

Most WordPress themes come with a primary menu that appears on the top. Some themes may include a secondary menu, a footer menu, or a mobile navigation menu as well.So to create a new menu we need to delete the first one.

Step 3: Create a new menu and give them a name

First, give your menu a name, such as ‘Top Navigation Menu,’ and then click the ‘Create New Menu’ and choose your menu locations according to your preferences.

Note: You can also create a navigation menu, through » Appearance » Menus page in your WordPress admin dashboard.

Step 3: Create menu items

Following that, you can select whatever pages you want to include in the menu. You can either add all new top-level pages automatically or select individual pages.

Once your pages have been added, you can move them around by dragging and dropping them.

WordPress makes it truly simple to include menus and sub-menus. You’ll be able include joins to your most vital pages, categories or subjects, web journal posts, and indeed custom joins such as your social media profile. The correct area of your menu will depend on your WordPress subject. Most themes will have a few choices, so you’ll make diverse menus that can be shown completely different places.
